Mark Gremler, RFC, has been helping Iowa families with their financial needs for two decades. Due to his work as a radio show host, author, lecturer, mentor, and CEO of Gremler Financial Group, he is one of Iowa’s most well-known financial professionals. His commitment to his clients and their families as well as his dedication to his own family has led Mark to success both within and outside of the financial services industry. Mark attended California State University at San Bernardino where his family had several thriving retail businesses. Mark began his career in the financial services industry at age twenty-three. In the early 1990s, he worked for Locust Street Securities, located in Des Moines, Iowa; he registered with and became an Investment Advisor Representative of ING Financial Partners Inc., also headquartered in Des Moines, and in 1999 created his own Registered Investment Advisory Firm for Gremler Financial Group. Since the founding of Gremler Financial Group, both Mark and his company have received recognition and praise from sources outside of Iowa. Mark has addressed financial planning conventions in Canada, Ireland, Mexico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and dozens of other cities in the United States. Gremler Financial Group has been featured on major television stations such as Fox, Bravo and CNBC. The CNN series Profiles, hosted by academy award winner Lou Gossett Jr., placed the national spotlight on Gremler Financial Group when it identified the company as one that is changing the way Baby Boomers and retirees live and prepare for retirement. Despite the national and international respect Mark has earned, he has always remained committed to serving families. One way Mark stays involved in the community is through speaking engagements promoting financial literacy on a variety of planning topics. He also holds informational seminars for baby boomers on issues such as planning for retirement, generating income, wills and trusts, investments and Social Security. Throughout Mark’s career his talent for managing finances and his devotion to providing quality services to his clients has not gone unnoticed. Mark was elected by the Des Moines Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (DMAIFA), one of Iowa’s largest professional financial organizations, and was appointed chairman of the organization’s field practices/ethics committee from 1999 to 2004. He has been associated with Who’s Who in Des Moines, the National Who’s Who Directory of Business, and Kiwanis, an international community service organization dedicated to helping our youth. Mark has been asked by some of the world’s largest insurance and financial service companies to teach their agents and brokers how to run a more successful business and how to better serve their clients. Even with these numerous accomplishments, Mark’s greatest source of pride is his family. Despite a busy work schedule, Mark enjoys time on his acreage in the countryside just outside of Des Moines where he and his wife, Beth, along with their three children, Madison, Aaron, and Haley, all work together on their small apple tree farm.
